Dale Goetzke – Artistic Biography

30 years of photographic experience.
Worked at several traditional photographic careers.
Built 2 complete color darkrooms.
100s of hours studying photographic technique.
5 years of teaching photography courses.
Numerous awards & ribbons recognizing his photographic talent;
Including, local, state & national.

Beginning in the spring of '98 … Dale abruptly changed course. He discovered that for him, photography only fired half of his artistic passion. He realized that the things, places & people that he photographed … represented the starting points of his artistic vision. In his mind he saw and felt more then the film captured. This drove him to digitally paint the images—finally achieving the envisioned pieces. Dale has since passionately stroked & brushed these paintings to express his emotional bond to the pieces. Ultimately these digital paintings are printed on exotic hand-made papers using the Giclee printing process.

Dale has primarily worked on commissioned pieces for the last several years. Recently, his 30 years & thousands of photos have whispered of their impatience—demanding his attention! So the fruits of these revisited archival adventures are yours to enjoy.

When you can smell diner cooking behind that door, hear the footsteps of the fellow just beyond the stairs, and the sunset causes you to shield your eyes—you will experience his digital paintings … and Dale's smile.
